It seems like just yesterday I was writing my inaugural post to announce the start of Toronto FC’s 2010 season…so I guess it’s only fitting that with this one I announce the end of it as well!  On October 16th, 2010 “the boys in Red” will be playing against the Columbus Crew for their final regular season game (fingers crossed that they make the  playoffs).

If you’ve yet to make it down to BMO and catch the team play, I highly suggest you take advantage of the deal the UBC and U of T Alumnus have put together:

Tickets are $52 each and gets you access to the exclusive Rogers Club, let’s you mingle with fellow UBC and Uof T alumnus, watch the soccer game at BMO Field, AND most importantly… help the Regent Park youth! For every seat sold, the two alumnus will donate $5 to sponsor Regent Park youth from the Pathways To Education™ program. The goal is to raise enough funds to bring at least 5 students to the game!

You can purchase your tickets and read more about this great intiative at the UBCTO Alumni website.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooo REDS!!!

The week has just begun, and it’s already looking busier than the line up for beer at a Toronto FC game! I figured, before I get into a week of writing about the glamorous world of real estate, I’d dedicate my Monday post to my beloved Reds!

The Toronto Football club is about to embark on its 4th year in the MLS (and no not the Multiple Listing Service as some readers may think). TFC has yet to make the playoffs but have definitely scored in getting fans on their side. I dabbled in the cult following but never really became hooked until my first live game…I remember it like it was only a year ago (probably because it was).

From the Dufferin bus ride down, to the stomping of the ground in the bleachers…it’s an experience every Torontonian must try! I went to several games last year and had the time of my life every time. – Sidenote to any one from Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment that may be reading this: They won 5 out of 6 games I attended; I very well may be their lucky charm! I started the season as just another fan wearing whatever red and white I could find in my closet, but I ended the season with a scarf, jersey, t-shirt (both of which I won at that game) and I was even lucky enough to catch the ball! See video below

The team has gone through a lot of changes during the off season, and so has the stadium! We not only have REAL grass to play on, but also additional seats for the North side of the pitch. The Reds start their season Saturday March 27th in Columbus! Check out the full schedule here

If you weren’t lucky enough to buy season tickets…you could always buy a liberty village condo as many offer views of the stadium ;) Goooo Reeeeds!

This weekend, Toronto’s Football Club kicked off their season with an amazing start!  They defeated the Kansas City Wizards with a 3-2 win.  The April 4th home opener is fast approaching and if the fan turnout is anything likes it’s been in the past, we’re in for another loud summer.

Realtor’s Note:  Do you want to truly live the TFC experience?  Certain unit’s at the Toy Factory Lofts in Liberty Village have “better-than-HD-views” of the stadium.  Email or call for more info!!
