Have you found yourself trying to find a condo based on mattress size? Too often, I find buyers having to choose a space based on which one will fit their bed! In some cases it’s inevitable, you just have to work with what you have…BUT if you have the option, my advice to any first time buyer is to buy the condo FIRST and the furniture second :)
Here’s a little something that might make the process a whole lot easier. It’s my Matress Size chart:
Twin/Single – 39″ x 75″ or 3.3′ x 6.3′
Twin XL /Single XL – 39″ x 80″ or 3.3′ x 6.8
Double – 54″ x 75″ or 4.6′ x 6.3′
Double XL – 54″ x 80″ or 4.6′ x 6.8′
Queen – 60″ x 80″ or 5′ x 6.8′
King – 78″ x 80″ or 6.6′ x 6.8′
California King – 72″ x 84″ / 6′ x 7′
If you’ve got the mattress, I can find the condo! give me a call or send me an email… i’d love to help!
So i’m driving back from an offer presentation, taking in the sights along the lakeshore when all of a sudden the clouds started rollllling in. Here’s a clip a caught on the blackberry from the Pier 27 Sales Office…only a few feet away from the lake in Downtown Toronto. wow!!!

As anyone who watches HGTV knows, the #1 thing to consider before buying real estate is location, location, location and this particular project has all three. Located just pass the hustle and bustle of the busy strip known as King West, you’ll find a much more quite yet sophisticated King East. Venture past some of the best home decor stores and you’ll arrive at the future home of The King East (330 King St E).
This 15 story condo is currently in the pre construction stage and has been for about a year, but just this week I’ve recieved emails advertising tons of affordable units still available. Prices range from $420 per square foot and up. Unit sizes go from studios with 310 sqf (yes you read right) to 2 bedroom units with a more spacious 840 sqf layout.
Other notables of the area include: George Brown College a few blocks west (great for those considering the Condo as an investment with rental potential), The Distillery District a few blocks south (a hip place to meet up with friends) and a short commute to St. Lawrence Market (an amazing place to pick up fresh food!!)

Monday’s are hard for everyone, myself included. My thinking is, the last thing blog readers want to see are stats and facts, so to start the week off right I’ll be posting “real estate ad parodies” every Monday…or for as long as a can come up with them.
If you’d like to get serious about buying or selling in the city, give me a call…i’d love to help!
Real Estate has really had it’s time to shine in the past 10 years, and not just in appreciation. It seems as if every channel has to have some sort of real estate related show. From A&E’s Flip This House to HGTV’s…well pretty much everything on HGTV is real estate related. Even CP24 has a weekly real estate program and the truth is I love it all.
It’s an obvious sign that the public has a huge interest in real estate not just for shelter but as a lifestyle. It comes as no surprise that people are always asking me for recommendations on real estate books. In a couple clicks you can peek into my bookshelf and view the book’s I’ve read. Of course if you have any recommendations for me to read, send me an email and I’ll add it the shelf!
