I just cannot say enough good things about Rise Condos at Bathurst and St. Clair! The location, the look, and the price all rank high on my scorecard. It’s very rare that you can find a preconstruction condo in the same range of price per square foot as nearby resale condos…oh and having a subway line, streetcar route and massive grocery stores directly across the street doesn’t hurt either!
The developers and architects were very logical in the design of the building. The tower will rise up directly on the corner. This will allow for clear views in all directions. I especially like that the tower is set back just far enough to clear the large rental building that sits south of the project on Vaughan Rd… sunsets to the west will be heavenly!
… and it gets even better on the inside! I had the opportunity to preview the sales centre and wanted to share a few pics of what the finishes will one day look like! The R.05 unit has been rebuilt as the model unit. The layout features 865 square feet with a large wrap around balcony. It faces south east and will give residents some of the best views of the downtown skyline! Read the rest of this entry »
If you’re a loyal reader to the blog, chances are you’ve noticed I missed this weeks MustHaveMonday post…but don’t fret, it’s Friday and I’m packing both themed days into one!
Excuses aside, I present to you…The POPA!
It’s a nifty little attachement for the iPhone 4. It’s purpose is to make your smartphone less of a phone and more of a camera! Though I haven’t actually used it my self, I have done a lot of reading up on it (hint hint wink wink Christmas is coming). Twist the POPAs barrel to connect to your iphone, and kaboooooom you’re ready to go. The big read button at the top of the POPA makes your iphone picture ready in seconds. I quick push of the big red button and you’re snapping away. It retails for about $75 and can be ordered online!
Watch it in action below:
Now that we’ve got the MustHaveMonday part of the post out of the way… let’s move on to some PHOTOFRIDAY pics:
Shot from atop CASA condos, I took this photo looking down at their outdoor pool!

So yesterday I told all about the features and amenities at Rise Condos…it’s only right that today I follow it up with a first hand look of the latest renderings at Rise!
Presiding over the south-east corner of Bathurst and St. Clair, RISE will become a statement piece for the community with a Mondrian inspired pattern rising up its façade. Given it’s location at the top of Bathurst, I except some of the most breathtaking view of both the City skyline and lake!
500 St. Clair, the newest condo to be completed in Toronto has just registered! This means unit owners can now sell their suites on the open market (MLS). I was lucky enough to accompany my client during their pre delivery inspection before the building was complete and was very impressed with how construction was coming along. The kitchens – spacious. The cieling heights – generous. The lobby – very elegant… but the BIGGEST eye opener was the views!!! Residents of 500 St. Clair have some of the most comprehensive City views I have ever seen!
Residents in this art-deco inspired condo are welcomed by the concierge. From there they can relax with friends and neighbours at the “Forest Hill Club”. The club feature some great amenities including: indoor pool, outdoor patio, fitness room, theatre, billiard room, library and a furnished guest suite!
Original purchasers of 500 St. Clair were not allowed to sell their units until the building had registered with the City. Now that it has, some great layouts have come on the market! If you’ve thought of selling or living at the newly built condo…give me a call or send me an email, I’d love to help!
Below is a look at the outside facade of 500 St. Clair:
This just in…I’m officially addicted to blogging! What started as simple experiment to make my job more exciting, has transformed into a separate job all on its own. My first attempt at blogging started right here at SavelBlogs.com. It very quickly allowed me to talk about the things that interest me…primarily Real Estate related, but also other Torontoish topics. Then came BloorCondos.com , a lifestyle blog geared to the developments in the Yorkville part of town! That’s still a work in progress, but definitely on its way. And now I’m dabbling in getting my PhotoBlog off the ground.
It’s essentially what the name suggests… from Monday-Friday I post pictures from my BlackBerry to the Blog, Facebook and Twitter. With so much happening on a daily basis, it’s impossible for me to write about it all. I highly doubt that anyone would call me up to sell their condo based on the photos…but that’s not its purpose. It’s my way of sharing what I see in the City I sell (or buy, depending on who I’m working with lol).
Check out my PhotoBlog daily for a side of the City you may not see everyday!

I’ve been working hard these past 6 months blogging about Toronto and sharing my experiences with it’s readers. But now I’ve decided to take it to…a whole…nother…level!
With the death of my last Blackberry (8800), it was time for an upgrade. My phone of choice is the new BlackBerry Curve 8900 aka “the javelin” aka “amazing”. My favorite feature of the phone is it’s 3.2 mega-pixel camera. I’ve been having a blast snapping shots of everything that catches my eye, Which brings me to the point of this post:
Effective immediately, readers can now see what I see throughout the day. With the power of Flicr and the photo taking abilities of my BlackBerry, I can instantly upload pictures to the blog. I’m working on incorporating a Flickr badge into the blog as well. For the time being you can check out my shots by clicking the Flickr logo on my sidebar

It’s finally here! As blogged about before, Heritage Toronto is putting on their 1st ever Building Storeys: A Photo Exhibit of Toronto’s Aging Spaces. It’s going to be held at the Gladstone Hotel this week from the 17th – 22nd
See you at the show
