Here it is people!! The last chance to live next to Marilyn Monroe…well sort of.
The same people who brought you the 5 tower ‘AbsoluteWorld’ condo community in Mississauga, has done it again with their limited launch of 20 intimate lofts. This Saturday will be the 1st release for Cityzen/Fernbrook Homes newest project: Absolute Lofts. Prices start at $199,900 and unit sizes range from 455 sqf to 743 sqf. Not only will you get access to their 30,000 sqf recreational centre, you’ll also be living in a structural masterpiece designed by internationally renowned architect Yansong Ma. In 2006 it was his curvaceous design that won the international competition and defined the corner as a true architectural gem. People lined up for days, to get the chance to own a unit in what is now dubbed “The Marilyn Monroe Towers”.
For one day only, Saturday July 18th from 12-2, they will be holding an exclusive broker event that I’ll be attending. If you’d like to get into one of these rare Absolute Lofts give me a call…i’d love to help! There are only 20 units and I anticipate they’ll sell fast! Read the rest of this entry »

Ever since I’ve taken the step on to Twitter (@SavelSells) for those who haven’t connected with me yet) I’ve met a ton of creative people with a lot of passion for the profession. One of my earliest followers was BuzzBuzzHome (@buzzbuzzhome). I followed them back mainly because they had some interesting real estate ‘tweets’ and a great blog to boot!
Fast forward a few months, and they’ve expanded from an informative blog, to solving a huge gap in the pre-construction condo market. For years, there’s been no centralized place for the public…or even Realtors to get a list of up and coming condos. In the past the only way to get this info was to; search the newspapers, read up on blogs or drive around the city. Problem solved with the new buzzbuzzhome webpage!
It’s very user friendly and extremely easy to find tons of info on new developments in the city. What I particularly like, is they’re not affiliated with any real estate brokerages and provide info from an unbiased 3rd party point of view. Some projects on the map are also sponsored by the developer of the condos and offer additional info such as price, description and photos. I had the chance to meet up Matthew Slutsky and Clifford Peskin, founder and co-founder of BuzzBuzzHome. They’ve started with tracking developments in Toronto but have big plans to expand and cover other Canadian cities as well.
It’s a great tool and one that I personally use! Find out what all the ’Buzz’ is about and check out their site. Once you’ve found that perfect project and are ready to take the next step give me a call…i’d love to help!
One of the top posts driving traffic to my blog was the piece I did on CREA‘s “How Realtors Help” Commercial. Unfortunately, all I had on the blog was a pic of “Dave” being rudely awoken by a plane flying over his house.
Due to popular demand I’ve decided to re post the topic with a special treat to my reader’s. I’ve found the second commercial that shows the poor lady trying to figure out ”how to fill in those ridiculously complicated documents”
Disclaimer: I do not encourage this kind of behaviour and would rather see you save your furniture :) Don’t be like Dave (pictured above). Use a Realtor (Me)…we can save you time, money, and a lot of broken furniture. Best of all, our services are free for buyers! AND one more thing, I personally explain every contract for every client!
Us Realtors are a funny bunch. We love to promote our achievements…sometime a little too much. It seems like all of us are “The Top 1%” this, or “#1″ that. A select few even put their university credentials on their business cards. From CGA to MBA I’ve seen it all including PHD. I’m not saying this is wrong, I just don’t see how their clients can benefit. It’s great that you’ve majored and earned a degree but your not preparing taxes, your helping them buy or sell real estate.
My rant aside, I too have credentials after my name. They’re ABR and the stand for Accredited Buyer Representative - a REAL ESTATE DESIGNATION.

Please excuse the long title, but it truly is necessary for this one. For those who’ve never heard of Gansevoort before; here’s a brief synopsis:
“It has been less than five years since the first Gansevoort hotel helped breathe life into the now ultra-fashionable meatpacking district of Manhattan, and in that time the brand has pushed to cement itself among the top names of the luxury development world. Last March, a second Gansevoort project, its first with residences, opened in South Beach in Miami, and another hotel in New York is planned to open in fall 2010 on Park Avenue South.”

ATTENTION all oil barons, lotto winners or any one else with $175 million laying around! According to YouTube this is the The World`s Most Expensive Mansion. It`s own website describes it as – Larger in area than both the royal residences of Hampton Court Palace or Buckingham Palace.
