The streets will be buzzing this Sunday (May 31st, 2009) in Kensington Market. One of the oldest and most diverse neighbourhoods in the city will be bringing back Pedestrian Sundays for another year. Since 2004 the market has closed it’s streets to cars and opened it up to the people. To kick off the tradition, they’ll be a giant pinata for the kids, as well as a parade of Kensington’s characters and history. The streets are yours from 1pm-7pm! For upcoming info, join their Facebook Group.
The market is full of eclectic shops offering everything from vintage clothing to local produce. If you’re interested in calling the market home…call me, I’d love to help!
