Have you ever wanted to hang something on the wall…only to realize there is no stud behind it to support it??  Well worry no more!  In the above video I tested out the “Monkey Hook” on my office wall.  After  some minor set backs I was able to get my photo up.  No tools, no screws, Sucessssss!

I felt as if Real Estate was starting to get really boring… again! More than text and photos, I believe the public wants to be engaged and given more than warped virtual tours and abbreviated descriptions i.e. “cndo 4 sle, ull luv it. gr8 $$$”

The wait is over for residents of the Murano Towers at Bay and College.  By month end all units in both towers will have completed final closing meaning residents can now list their units for sale (or rent) on the MLS. It’s no secret to those who know me…I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the City. From supporting the Leafs (even during the loses) to complaining about all of the new ”Miller Taxes“! Naturally, I was quite excited to hear about the Kiss 92.5 remix of the Jay-z/Alicia Keys hit “Empire State of Mind”. Especially since I am a pretty big Jay-Z fan (for real!) For the most part, I found it a bit over autotuned and more of a plug for the station than a representation of the City…BUT, it did inspire others to make it their own. In the process of youtube-ing the video I came across another “Toronto State of Mind” remix!

This one was made by Ron D Featuring Kim Davis (who by the way has one-heck-of-a-voice!!) It may not be for everyone, but it at least shows his (Ron D’s) experience in the City. Some thought actually went into making this version and for that I give it 2 big Real Estate Thumbs Up!

It also got me thinking… and no not of emceeing, but rather “What makes Toronto so special” …The diverse restaurants? The sports teams? The condos? The night life? Toronto City Council (another post altogether)? I can go on for days, but I’m more curious about what the readers think! Leave a comment below and let me know what makes Toronto so special to you!

For the past few weeks I’ve been covering Toronto’s River City project pretty closely. Last week I attended the Realtors info session. We were given floor plans, prices and info packages about the project and once in hand, I visited all the readers who had emailed me with interest in the project! Clients kept repeating the same question: “Where the heck is this place located!” …a question also echoed by many at the info session. The map below should shed some light on the River City location. For even more visual guidance, check out the video I made above.

The first release of units will consist of a 16 story building on King Street and a 6 story building on River Street.  Eventually another phase will be released to the south of Eastern Ave. with a 4 acre mixed use space tucked under the Richmond-Adelaide ramps separating the two phases.
